I'll have to read it at work tonight.

:D

My SH features such things as heavily armoured death squads and Piratecat-inspired baby-shield tactics - it's gotta be good! ;)

Heh. Liberal mentality (at least, that's what it is considered here). I hear you. Unfortunately, the Liberals are a minority here and don't even show up on National Elections ballots. To my knowledge, NY is one of the few states that has a Liberal or Green party that always shows up in the ballot boxes. So, at least for now, we can forget about government fully funded higher education.

State schools are cheaper and partially funded by the government, but it still costs a decent chunk of money.

Also, if you don't get a college education here, you can pretty much forget about having a decent paying job (there are some exceptions, but they are few and far between).

Actually I'm a longtime paying member of the liberal party, which is considered the 2nd most right wing party here!!! (out of 7 in our parlament).

Oh, I earn a decent money a so does everyone else here, that haven't got a university degree. In actuallity the difference between a 'college'-job and a 'non-college-job' is around 15%-25%. I earn around the average pay for the entire population.

That's it. We're moving to Europe! :)

LOL.

regrettably that would also mean you have to learn at least a second language, if not more. :D English is my third out of five languages total that I consider myself capable of speaking, so you have a general idea of the expectations involved in such a statement.

Heh. True. My French is rather rusty, Latin is a "dead" language, and while I can get by in Greece and can usually figure written words out, my knowledge of the language stems from 1 year of 5th century (BCE) Athenian Greek (and what I've been able to pick up from my two trips there).

If I ever go to Europe, I'm hiring Agg as my interpreter. :p

Thanks for the vote of confidence, mate, and as long as we're talking northern europe you are in safe if not uneducated hands.

For southern europe you might wanna hire my spanish flatmate instead, as he speaks spanish, portugeese, italian, basque, galitian, as well as a better french than mine. We also share the english, swedish, and norwegian languages, although I'm probably better at all those. As a note, we talk swedish to eachother because he doesn't know and can't understand danish at all (yet).

I'm also trying to learn spanish and dutch at the moment, let's see how that turns out.
