OK, but I need to know for when Lothar goes rock gathering.

Eddie is in rare form, blasting Lothar (Ref save 12) for 39 points of sonic damage. Lothar has 35 HP remaining. Eddie can breathe in round 749.

Round 747

Lothar's rock takes off like a big old jet airliner (rolled 25), hitting Eddie for 13-5=8 points of damage (OK, maybe not such a big jet). The rock lands at 115N15E intact. Eddie has 134 HP remaining.

Eddie will hover down to just above Lothar's head and bite 'im with 8 points in power attack. I'm thinking it would be at 15Z or maybe 10Z. The point is to be able to take a full attack next round with my 5ft-reach natural weapons because you can't hover as a 5ft-step. I think this movement will provoke an AoO from Lothar.

Lothar's head changes back to that of a boar. He pulls out his greatclub.

OOC: Shouldn't the weapon focus feat a creature gains always be with the primary attack?

That was a typo, not faulty arithmetic. A 20 does not hit.

OOC: Not necessarily. At least not for dragons, as noted in their text.

Eddie connects with all four attacks (worst hitting roll 24+1=25), but neither claw inflicts any damage (DR 6 or greater). Bite and tail inflict 30-20=10 points of damage. Lothar has 25 HP remaining.

Round 749

Lothar grunts and swings his greatclub three times, connecting three times (worst roll 23) for 92-15=77 points of damage. Eddie has 55 HP remaining, and should be very happy Lothar does not have Improved Critical (greatclub).

Eddie will breathe some more sonic chaos down on Lothar and then hover up to 40Z (whether or not Lothar lives).
