(CoC) The Snake Pit

*The door does indeed prove to be locked.*

"Well, blast, that's no good," says Arthur, turning the knob futilely back and forth. He glances over his shoulder at Ashe and Agatha. "It goes aginst my sense of pride, but perhaps I'd better let you two try your hand."

 

[Ashy]

Agatha delicately picks up the hem of her skirt and bows her knees in a curtsey, "Why, thankee, gunvah!" she says and then moves over to the doorway. Fishing a hairpin out of her beautiful red mane, she begins attempting to pick the lock, one eye clamped shut and her tongue sticking out of the corner of her mouth at an awkward angle.

*With several minutes' effort, the door finally pops open. Large file cabinets and stacks of papers and folders are crammed into this small room, which is astoundingly dusty. Hitting the light switch next to the door doesn't improve matters much.*

 

[Ashy]

Agatha rises, dusting her fingertips off triumphantly. She pokes Adon on the end of the nose playfully, "Never underestimate the power of a hairpin!", she giggles like a schoolgirl and then enters the file room.

 

[Andrew D. Gable]

"What are we searching for again?" mumbles Arthur. "Ahh yes, records of the old asylum patients, that's right, and of the eponymous Dr. Willson and his nefarious deeds." He begins combing through the patient records from about the time of the fire, looking for any that died due to mysterious circumstances.

 

[Hrothgar]

"Ahem...ah, yes. Thank you, Agatha." Adon rubs his nose, looking slightly embarrassed. "The hairpin is indeed mightier than the sword." Adon smiles gently at Agatha before turning to the task at hand.

Bent over a series of files, Adon responds to Arthur without looking up. "Those are the specifics Arthur, but beyond that, I am not sure what we are looking for. Something that catches the eye or seems out of place with Dr. Wilson's patient files. Anything that may corroborate Eugene's story."

Adon absorbs himself in reading the patient files, oblivious to anyone or anything around him.

OOC: Adon continues reading until someone physically stops him.

Agatha leafs through the files, not really interested, but looking for something to spark her's...
