D&D 5E (2024) Collage of Dance Reveal

I mean, yes, it's a good living, but we're not talking investment banker money.
I have only a very vague idea of what kind of income you need to enjoy life (and not just endure it) in a high-maintenance area of the U.S. but I could easily see 7K barely cutting it.

Especially when you factor in the future uncertainty. People always forgrts that just because a music artist earns serious money now does not mean that person will have a stable income ten years from now or even next year.

So you can maybe splurge on some bling or a new car, but if you purchase a house or something now suddenly you are REQUIRED to keep up your level of output each week every week or the bank will come a knocking.

And that life is much less glamourous than most people realize when they just go "WOW monies!"

Seems like fantasy money to me as I make less than a quarter of that a month. Though I do live in a poor red state as opposed to a wealthy state like Cali. Cost of living differences etc.
It's gross income, not net.

She still needs to pay for taxes, cameras, lighting, microphone, costumes, the other person in the skit, maybe an editor, ect...

No idea what the final totals is, but very rough guess is half that.

Eat the rich and all that.
The rich make 14k a day. Not a month.

Ginny D has a fun Video about the upcoming Collage of Dance Bard Subclass:

Good Supporter with much movement (including Allies). I'm just not sure if the free Unarmed Attack on Bardic Inspiration will really be that usefull .. I don't see anything that supports playing the subclass for melee (no extra attack, just ok ac (no Armor=Dex+Cha), no damage bonus except the free Unarmed Attack). But I guess I would have to see it in play to get it.
When I watched this video, I was filled with the desire to use this subclass to play a luchador.

With all this "not a real job" talk, I'm amazed (considering the age skew around here) that no has tapped Dire Straits yet...

"Now look at them yo-yos, that's the way you do it
You play the guitar on the MTV
That ain't workin', that's the way you do it
Money for nothin' and your chicks for free"

Guess nothing ever does change...:)

You don't get to say that after several posts of talking some horribly reactionary talking points, points precisely made by the rich to keep working class divided. Not only are you deeply subscribing to the cult of work, that claims hard physical labor is somehow more noble endeavor than anything else (it's not) but also to the notions that art and entertainment aren't "real" work because they are not as VISIBLY taxing as physical, manual labor. and therefore that people doing them are lazy, lack any real skill and "cheated" to cozy up to an "easy" kob and riches - all of which come from deep ignorance of actual work going into art or entertainment and is spread as a lie to sow resentment of artists and entertainers among the working class. You are being a right-wing mouthpiece right now and it's disgusting.

Sincerely, a guy who's been doing factory line job in 4-shift system, for a queter of what you earn, since 2016.

And I just said this rant partially because I did not want anyone to think I agree with Dark Crisis' horrible opinions when I say I really DO NOT like that WotC been giving those exclusive reveals of content to youtubers, especially youtubers like Ginny Di, who've been front and center of pressing agaisnt the OGL. It seems to me WotC is trying to recreate the toxic relationship between video game industry and video game press, in which the latter is so dependent on exclusives, they effectively become part of hype cycle and can no longer meaningfully criticise a big company.
