Okay - I know I'm being a pain in the ass.

But would you also want another room for people to say take it "Outside" ?? This is just me being rediculously fastidious - but in the end I want to have as much fun as possible. 'Cos I mean it's not like you can drag people from 2030 into the Arena now can ye??

In anycase this is about all I can think of for the moment. Thanx for being of asist guys. And a special thanx to Pounamu who has to organise everything! :D You have my undying love for putting up with me!

Blayde.

I believe The Meeting Place will have its own adjoining combat room, known as The Back Alley, or something like that...

Not necessarily... I was actually leaning towards not having a combat room for it. I am open to if you guys wish to have fights more allowed in TMP... but that's up to you guys. We can poll it if you like... I'm not sure what Pou has in mind. I'm just wary of more combat rooms. They sometimes see more abuse than use.

Jaya, you darling man. That's how I'd love it to be. *hides her plans to display her confiscated trophies...*
Here's my resounce for this bill, AO6698. You're right, it may not have been passed and may be waiting on a general election... my mistake over the unfamiliar sectioning/wording.

Gotta love internet searches. Hehehehe!

*chuckles* Da boss got da jump on me! ;)

Blayde, a combat chat room has always been on the books as to be one of the alleys that run down the sides of the building. However we have to prove ourselves before we get that precious resource - the powers that be want to see support in numbers. The Cantina got the Zone but rarely saw real action. Instead it had to be disabled because of folks using it for private fantasy RPing.
I suppose the assumption is that if we don't have much in numbers, a couple of people brawling isn't that big a disruption overall.

Again, your opinions are going to matter.

**Gets called a man. Sniffles? **

Hehe, ya, taking a look at it now.. but that seems weird. We aren't -That- Gun Crazy!

**Hides the katana, though, for good measure**

**EDIT**

"This amendment shall take effect upon approval of the voters at a
general election succeeding the passage of such amendment by two
separately elected legislatures."

New York's legislatures haven't even gotten a formal look at this yet, heheh. That means, this is being drawn up/being permanantly drawn up.. and needs to pass with 2/3 approval by both branches of New York's legis. It's like passing an amendment to the Nation's Constitution.. 'cept it only affects a state.

And then, they have to hold a special election or include it in the next general election to get it passed in New York.

Alabama.. mebbe.. New York? Based off experience, chances are slim ta none, babe.. so I think ya dun' gotsta worry 'bout this in 2030. If anything, we'd have stricter laws.

Okay.

So
If anything, we'd have stricter laws.
assuming that Jaya is correct, then wouldn't you have to figure out or sit down and write the restrictions imposed on weaponry/the law as we think it'll be? Perhaps have that particular rule as part of the thing that shows up in the room descript or something. ((You can restrict character age, but what about the younger players - some of 'em need strict boundaries and guidelines... as if you were their very own parents! ))
Well something that's easily accessible anyway so people can't say "I didn't see it" - "It wasn't there" - "You must'a just put it there" because it'd be something obvious enough they'd have to be blind or something to miss it.

As you can tell I'm a total  myself! :smirk:

However I think this topic bears further investigation... 'cos otherwise it'll prolly be quite niggly.

Cheers guys!

There is a limit to how much we can put on the room description, and although the banner is often a good idea, not everyone bothers to scroll down the thing and actually read it. therefore we'll need to sort out what are the most important points to go on the room description, that lil bit of text that shows up when you enter the room no matter what program you are using to chat.

If you'd like to write up something on the gun rules for everyone to ponder, please be my guest. ;)

I personally don't think we can write much about the gun laws on the room description other than "hide it or lose it", and overall we WizOs can't enforce the setting rules unless you the patrons voice that we should. It is a community site, and the powers that be actually listen to you more than they listen to us. lol!

Auntie Pau-Pau said:
Security is tighter out the back however as there is a government agency upstairs (WIZO) and staff may scan the room generally every now and then to pick out any lead casing that may be hiding something more dangerous than a personal firearm.

Hmm... "WIZO" ... ... W.I.Z.O... ... "World Intelligence Z________ Organization."

We must think of a good "Z" word. NO, IT CANNOT BE "ZION", thankyouverymuch.

Hmm... WIZO sounds more like the call letters of a radio or TV station. What kind of music or shows would they air?
