There goes the last chance for my favorite prestige class to get updated.

My char is getting close to taking a level of Wind-Rider, so of course I wonder, what with most of the MotW PrCs having been reincarnated, whither the Wind-Rider?

Remember, we propably do not have the full list of PrCs in the book yet. Both the Ghostwalker and the Windrider may be in CV.
Failing that, the Ghostwalker might come out in one of the Genre series books, and the Windrider in an Environment series book.

Plus, there will be the Complete Flowers & Happy Puppies (a.k.a. Druid & Ranger) book after CoAd.

The Nightsong Enforcer and Nightsong Infiltrator were two "branches" of the same Thieves Guild (Nightsong something-or-other). The Enforcer is a sort of Thief/Fighter type who worked very well on a team, the Infiltrator is an Uber-Burgler. Basically the Infiltrator is the rogue who focuses on getting into and out of anything and anywhere better than anyone (for the purposes of "acquiring" objects of course).

Yep. I identified with Bobby, the Barbarian. Strangely, I haven't played a barbarian...

But, no, the thief-acrobat severely disappointed me. I was hoping it could do funky cool wuxia moves (like, say, Blade Dancer and Ninja Spy, with their Acrobatics ability)...but, no, instead it can run along walls. (shakes head)

Brad

The halfling thief acrobat in my game managed to climb a tree, run on one of the branches, jump over the nearby wall and use Slow Fall, Jump and Tumble to land safely at the other side, without alerting the guards. Later, he Tumbled into a battle between yuan-ti and a guild of assasins, disarmed (yes, with a really lucky roll) an abomination of a very important item, got tripped (I forgot the thief acrobat´s ability and used Trip instead of grapple) and bounced on the floor, running into the woods -all of that while dodging with Improved Evasion the fireballs of a mad undead wizard.

Everyone *does* know that the ones not updated are generally "Ok" to use "as is" ? Unless, of course, you are in the Living Greyhawk campaign, where anything not updated will be retired when the 4th (and expected to be LAST) Complete book comes out (CV).

Except that most signs point to this not happening. For example, it would likely already in the Online catalog (WotC wouldn't release it that far after CV), the Environment series fills a similar niche, and an RPGA document says there will be four books in the Complete series. The only thing that points to there being a fifth book is the fact that the first, more "specialized" series of splat books was five books.

Propably not everyone, but I do. Than again, not every updated class actually needed an update. ;)

The Windrider badly needs an update to workmore like the revised Paladin or Druid with respect to the mounts available. Unfortunately, it would have to have an exhaustive list or guidelines for making your own for balance reasons, and I'm not certain that WotC is up for that. I would have suspect that it would be in CW or CD (it being a combat-based class with divine spells), but failing that it may still appear in an environment book. I've been keeping track because I do play a Windrider in Living Greyhawk, and will probably have to change to something else.
