Complete Champion, and Dungeonscape

No, I think I would be appealing to the ever-growing market of internet-age people, rather than the ever-shrinking market of non-computer users. That is proactive, and a growth situation for the game.

That must be a Mearls-style beholder: The fighter's sword hasn't gone out.

Could be a beholder mage. Does that eye look a little milky?

Or maybe the fighter poured oil on his sword and lit it. :p

My girlfriend wants me to tell you that you're both nerds. :)

of course, I was the one who pointed this out to her, and she didn't say anything about me. I guess that means she's given up on me.

Uh oh. :P

Crazy talk!

What next? PDF's priced competitively with Amazon.com/Buy.com for their physical books?

More than just lip service for editing?

Putting more WoTC material into the SRD/OGL so that third party publishers could SUPPORT it?

Putting out a Feat and PrC Compendiums?

Putting out uncommons like Stirges that are actually uncommon as opposed to as pricey as rares?

Madness I tell you! Pure maddness!

Not a Flaming Sword

It's a torch--a special torch with the quality "swordlike."

Or maybe it's not a beholder; it's a gas spore.

The other character on the cover looks like a tiefling. I would guess he's a warlock too. Hmmm, maybe just a rogue, although in that case, he should be behind/flanking the beholder/gas spore/illusion.

////whee! Pain meds in full effect. :)
/////enough with the slashies already!

Joe,

I knew you were deserving of your title man, but geez! That's 5,000 XP to you man! ;)

In any case I think the sword, while on fire, is an chemcial, not magical, effect. Even so I'm glad someone noticed...even if it wasn't me. :p :)

Btw there's nothing wrong with a Drow half sorcopian Ninja/Wizard with Sexy Jutsu Harems in his feat selection. At least not in my book. ;)

What's the big deal with the sword flaming?

If the beholder is using it's old fire power, it's anti-magic eye can't be in the same spot can it? Or can it? I've been taking care of non-RPG materials so long I'm forgetting the basics man! :heh:

And people wonder why I'm cynical.

Joe,

I stopped wondering a long time ago. But to my mind, the anti-magic eye does indeed stop the other eyes from "working."

I honestly don't have a big deal or care about the sword. Just someone else did and I'm semi-glad they noticed since I didn't. It's like watching a replay when someone points out to you "Hey that guy's foot is out side the lines!" Kind of deal.
