Complete Scoundrel

One thing I hope (but know won't happen) is that on the five level PrC's we don't see all the expanded content. On a full ten level PrC, it makes a little sense as there is the potential of staying in that career for half your tenure (assuming 20 levels) of the game but a 5 level prC is a diversion and shouldn't be treated to as much detail as other PrCs.

I second that!

That makes sense.

So what is / will be the second Complete Warrior, in that case?

Or will it come last, following Champion (as the 2nd Divine). . .? I hope so, I suppose, for the sake of completeness or something.

I've heard the Tome of Battle (Book of Nine Swords) is the second Complete Warrior book.

Will someone please kill off this madness yet already? WotC has already published far more hardbound books of dubious content than their much maligned predecessor.

You're really joking, right? You're comparing 3.5's releases to the 4 books a month schedule of incompatible books from completely different authors of 2E? Hardbound or softback, it doesn't make a difference.

And has already been said, Complete Mage was one of the best 3E books Ive seen, much better than Complete Arcane. If we can look forward to more of that (as I suspect we can, I think CM was so good because they've gotten how to make a good D&D book down now) then I am very much looking forward to this book.

For example?

Complete Mage was good. I expect Complete Scoundrel to be just as good.

*also agrees with Joe even though Nightfall thinks he and Joe accidently switched coffee mugs today*.

Why?

Just don't buy it. I haven't gotten any of the complete books and don't plan to. . .

I find Complete Mage to be vastly more useful than Complete Arcane was. More interesting PrCs, spells that do something other than kill in not-new ways (I can make up those sorts of spells just fine, thanks), lots of cool feats (even excluding the reserve feats) and more.

Given that my campaign has split into scoundrel and hero halves (and there's still a scoundrel-lite character among the heroes), I expect to get a ton of use out of Complete Scoundrel.

*agrees with Whizzy* The "scoundrels" and the "mages" will probably get more use out of these books than they did with Complete Adventurer and Complete Arcane. (Albeit Complete Arcana does have the best base class of all time)
