Complete Warrior: Paladin feats

I must admit, the Paladin feats in complete warrior are quite nice. Next time we start new characters that are at least 9th level, that's the class I'm picking. A question though...

Divine Vigor (divine feat)

It stipulates that you gain 2 temporary hit points per level. Are these hit points treated like a Con boost or more like the 2nd level spell False Life ?

Thanks funk.

This makes the feat extra useful. You can just reactivate it (as a standard action) whenever those hit points are too low. Cool. This, with Divine Shield, Divine Might, Lay-on-Hands, Smite, Cha bonus on saves, and a Cha stat way up there might actually make the Paladin a very self-sufficient warrior (you just need turning attempts up the wazoo...).

Another question... p.106 of Complete Warrior (which is a 3.5 book) stipulates that:" (Divine Feats) have as a prerequisite the ability to turn or rebuke undead. Thus, they are open to clerics, paladins of 3rd level or higher [...]"

But, Paladins can only turn at 4th level.

Am I missing something ?

Your Charisma also feeds your number of turning attempts. :D And I don't think you missed anything, but WotC might have. ;)

3.5

I'm wondering if they put the Paladin's turning undead at 4th just so he doesn't have access to Divine Feats before 6th ? If not, they shouldn't have done it. This has big consequences for Paladins between levels 3 and 12 (which most campaigns are at).

It would be level 4 then. :(

I honesty do not know they really hurt a few of the warrior classes in 3.5 but to be honest I really hadn't noted the change as the few paladins, or divine warriors of other alignments, I have played have started at a few levels over 4th level. (I play only PbP, lousy job, so most games start well above the 4th level.)

Divine Might is my favorite. If my 20th level paladin character had the strength I would be all over Epic Divine Might. :)
