Conceptualize the Paladin

There was, if I remember correctly, a neat take on this classic class, in one of Green Ronin's Drow books for 3e - I think it was the setting book. . . Dezzavold, I believe. It was a pretty cool CE 'paladin', again IIRC, and definitely rather different from just a flipped Paladin (a la Unearthed Arcana, or d20srd.org).
