I used to say "No" all the time!

Now, after reading the new DMG, I say "are you sure?" with a grimace

just kidding...

I try to say "Yes" as much as possible, but I still say "No" to Spiked Chains and Sunrods.

Shouldn't the proper response in that situation be "Are you sure that you want to do that?" followed by your taking out your best D20?

I think that you should let players do foolish actions, there are usually disastrous results for them. Not surprise results, fair waring is only fair.

DM -"So you want to climb the Mountain of Utter Doom, alone?"
Player -"Yep."
DM -"Are you sure?"
Player -"Yep."
