Confused about two weapon fighting penalty??

Hello,

I'm confused how the two weapon fighting feats work.

Lets say my attacks are:
+6/+1
with a light offhand weapon and the two weapon fighting feat, I think I would have

+4/-1, +4
is that correct?

with the same setup but the improved two weapon fighting feat,

+4/-1, +4/+1 ???

(i.e., does the -5 penalty stack or not stack with the -2 from the regular feat)

and finally with greater two weapon fighting...

+4/-1 +4/+1/-4 ???

Thanks for any help!!

The base Two-Weapon Fighting Penalty (-2 with TWF feat and light off-hand weapon) stacks with the Improved (-5) and Greater (-10) Two Weapon Fighting Penalties. So with Improved Two Weapon Fighting your attacks should be +4/-1 and +4/-1.

Also as a side note you must have a BAB of +11 to get GTWF.

Yupp. The basics are simple. TWF gives you an additional attack at your BAB, all attacks are at -2.

Improved TWF is available as soon as you have your second attack due to BAB, then all attacks are at -2.

As soon as your BAB is at +11/+6/+1, with Greater TWF you can get the same attacks with your offhand, but all attacks suffer a -2.

This yields: +9/+4/-1 with main hand and the same with the off hand for 6 attacks.

Uh, not precisely, if I understand the rules correctly. A 20th level fighter would have +18/+13/+8/+3 and +18/+13/+8 because Greater TWF grants a third attack, not "equal attacks with your offhand".

Right, you need Perfect Two Weapon Fighting for that (and be 21st level, as it an epic feat).

glass.
