Not sure if these are related, but I have recently provided some NPCs to the Rogues Gallery boards.

Check them out if you wish. They use lots of stuff from sources other than core. For a new monster, you may like the were eel I had to create:

These are NPCs for a port city. Check out Waylan - his appearance freaked out my players.

Will work on any suggestions, though I have one I have always wanted to convert to 3e (did so for 2e). Something like the little grannit from Fighting Fantasy. I think I will make them vermin...

I would be more than willling to help flesh out low level critters too. Low level is my specialty I have been running games for at least 15 years and in that time 7th level is the highest level we have reached in a campaign.

ConnorSB and Blackdirge have been great, but maybe we should start a new thread where everybody puts in creatures instead of just those two. I have always liked their work, but they don't seem to be doing much lately. Don't know if it's lack of time, interest, or whatever, but there are a lot of great minds on Enworld and two of those can come up with all the creatures they've come up, I wonder how many all the Enworlder's can come up with. I know I'd be willing to post a couple of critters myself.

Just a thought.

And what a thought it is. Sound idea. So I have done just what you have said.

Last night I wrote up the critters I spoke of earlier, inspired from Fighting fantasy. I have posted them as first creatures on the thread. :)
Here is link.

BTW Dog_Moon...cool avatar.

Forgot to add that to last post ;)

is that a creature from Alternity? Never player it, but a couple of creatures looked cool and I recall seeing some in Dragon mag.

Honestly, I have no idea. It looked cool, so I decided to pick it. I was wondering what it was as well, but thought it sounded strange creating a thread to see if anyone recognized my avatar. Although unfortunately, I saw someone else with the same avatar, so I was thinking of switching to something else.

I noticed that creature was a new creature. Generally, these threads are based on taking what's already there and making something interesting out of them. I'm not trying to criticize, but I wasn't sure whether you wanted new creatures, modified old creatures, or both. Asking here since I'm already responding to the above, which is in this thread, else I'd ask it in the other.

By the way, I like critters in the 6-9 range, so if you don't want that in the other thread, let me know.

New thread: any monsters :)

I am happy for new and updated ones. I like some old favs to be updated too, so anyone interested go for it.

As far as CR6-9 goes, man go for it. I really don't mind what level, I just prefer 10 or under, but I won't complain if some appear higher level.

I will even take requests and develop some older ones or generate new ones (as other threads have done), but I just don't want to spend MY time on high CR creatures. More than happy for others to do so though :)

Note- this thread's title has been changed to "updated eventually." I'm still really interested in DND, I just lack the time to bust out more monsters. now that i'm in college, I have even less free time than before.

Connor, I know you're busy, but could I add something onto the list when you get some free time on your hands? I need an NPC, Goru, an awakened celestial dire lion with perhaps a few levels of fighter on him? It would be wonderful to see you make him when you get a chance.

Also, where in the bay area are you?
