Contacting Green Ronin

Ack! Good luck to everyone on this, it sounds ugly. I have had an empoyer go out of business once, I never did see the last week of wages. (I found out that he was out of business when I showed up on a Monday morning and the furniture was gone, even the curtains were gone...)

Hmmmm, so Osseum pulled a Wizard's Attic? That's too bad - a lot of good companies used them. Though that explains some things.

Anyway, I realize that companies are afraid stories like this might hurt them, since rumors of a companies demise can in fact bring one about (that's part of what did in GDW) but often not being open can cause just as many problems...fans notice when something is up, and so are more than happy to start their own rumors.

Though at least in this case, no one said there was a problem with the printers (for months)

Sorry to hear about that, Nicole. That's horrible. Glassjaw and Jay, I hope they manage to get you squared away, too.

Hang in there, Nicole. GR is a well respected company 'round these parts, and I know that these issues were beyond your control.

Well the explanation was certainly welcome. I have some friends in the biz going through similar situations and I can only guess as to how unbelievably awful the experience must be.

My frustration mainly stemmed from just not knowing what was going on, especially since I had already paid for the item in question. I'm very patient and sympathetic - I just wanted to know what was happening.

It doesn't help that I really want my Freeport book!! :D

Well this doesn't change my view of GR. They still crank out top notch books that only (IMHO) WoTC can keep up with.

As a side note: This is one of the reasons I buy from my FLGS. I'm not saying everyone should because some people are not lucky enough to have a good store near them.

umm... that is a mild way of putting it....

Wow, just checked this message after last night, didn't expect as many responses as we got. Nicole, thanks for the heads-up on the GR situation. I've always been happy with Green Ronin products, and was pretty surprised that it'd been so long since I'd heard or seen anything. I'll send you an email for record-keeping, but I also realize you've got a lot on your plate. Good luck with everything.
