Uhmmm... Mark? Wednesday Jan 28, 1:23 am GMT is the same as Tuesday Jan 27, 7:23 pm Central Time, at least assuming I did my math right. Central Time is GMT-6, right? I only noticed the Central Time requirement *after* I posted my guesstimate in GMT.

Feel free to count only the first time, they should be the same anyway. Just make sure to count it as GMT in that case.

his idea might be flawed but has anyone thought about giving away something to the 15,000 user?

mythusmage does a similar thing to a certain number poster. It wouldn't take much for someone to start a second account to take advantage of the prize. That's kinda why I do this particular contest the way I do (so as not to overly encourage people to simply start false/new accounts). Still, it might be worth exploring as an idea sometime down the road...

Close. The official time is 6:50 central (I've been monitoring closely and 14,999 even came after the time you suggest )

Still, it does mean that Steve Jung ($25.00 in prizes), Silvermoon ($20.00 in prizes), and Goobermunch ($15.00 in prizes) are the three big winners!

Nonetheless, everyone wins a little something (even the folks who were knocked out because of editing or forgetting to post on the CMG Boards).

Aw shucks, missed it by a few hours. Well at least I would have missed even if I hadn't pointed out that my first post was in GMT.

A big hand for Steve, Silver and Goober! Silver Moon's guess was especially impressive, since it was made ten days ago, all the way in the beginning of the contest (second one in the thread, I believe).
