[CONTEST!!] [Scarred Lands] Win a free book!

C. A. Suleiman, my cowriter on "The Serpent and the Scepter" and "The Serpent Citadel," posted the following on the Scarred Lands forum over at the SSS forums. He's given me permission to repost it here.

Hey, all. Although I'm sure that some of you have already
purchased your copies of the newest installment of the
Serpent Amphora cycle - the Serpent and the Scepter - some
have not. Thus, I've decided to hold this little contest
(because, quite frankly, I'd like to give a copy away). :-D

Please note that this is not an official White Wolf contest
of any kind, and is mainly just me being goofy and wanting
to get folks involved in the adventures. It doesn't hurt
that the third and final adventure - The Serpent Citadel -
will be coming out soon(ish).

Here's the contest: I want to hear from those of you who
played in and/or ran the first installment, Serpent in the
Fold, and I want you to include some personal reactions,
either from yourself or from your players (or both).
There's really no extra credit for fancy writing, and you
shouldn't feel the need to resort to concocting anecdotes
out of whole cloth, but rather, just relate your experience
with the adventure. The one I like the best will win a
copy of The Serpent and the Scepter. Simple as that.
(Terrible, I know. It's an unfair world.)

This contest is not open to people named Ari or Joe, nor
anyone who lives outside the continental U.S., but such
folks are more than welcome to post their experiences here.

Let's hear 'em, folks! :)

You can send your replies/entries to C.A. at "belovedbygod@yahoo.com"

Feel free to ask any questions here, and I'll pass them along to him. Please do not actually post your entries here, though, as C.A. doesn't check ENWorld regularly.

Also, if this thread is getting kinda down on the page, please bump it, so as many people as possible see it and have the chance to enter.

BTW, the rule about the contest not being open to those outside the US has to do with shipping costs. If you live outside the US and are willing to pay shipping, you may enter.

Sorry. I know that sucks for a lot of you, but shipping ain't cheap. :(

Thats just wrong! ** of course since MY name is Joe, I may be biased**

but, I'll give you a bump all the same because I like the SL.

More specifically, Colin should have said this contest isn't open to people named Ari Marmell or Joe Carriker. He was just making a funny.

But you probably knew that. :D

Oh, but it absolutely is not open to people named Philbert Cornelius Sterling. That's just good business. ;)

folks named Joe

thats good. To exclude "Everyone" named "Joe" would just be "un Americian" :D

it still excludes me though. but for a more basic reason, my SL campaign is set in Darakeen and to run the serpent series where it takes place I would have had to move the characters a long way off. I read the 1st one though (liked it btw) and was excited to see a SL module series. keep up the good writing. Writing a module is hard. Before the one I started working on with Graf and Fevil I never knew it was SO MUCH WORK!

*ba-da-bump, ba-da-bump, ba-da-bump, bump, bump*

Anyone who didn't recognize that as the main bars of the William Tell Overture is culturally deprived. ;) :D
