I post here all the informations regarding the Iron Hero contest held at iron-league.com :
For this second week of the Iron League’s existence comes its first contest, for the fans, by the fans of Iron Heroes. The Iron Lieges are delighted by your enthusiasm for the game and thought you could be rewarded for it.
And what rewards we have for you!
- A full-color laser print of Monte Cook Presents: Iron Heroes on 11 x 17 sheets, unbound, that was used to help proof the galleys that came in from the printer, signed by Monte Cook and Mike Mearls!
- A hardcover copy of Monte Cook Presents: Iron Heroes signed by Mike Mearls!
- A Character Miniatures pack from Magnificent Egos (contents include Executioner, Archer, Man At Arms, Weapon Master, Thief, and Religious Fanatic).
- Two copies of the Mastering Iron Heroes sourcebook in PDF format
- A PDF copy of Goodman Games' Song of the Blade
- and for our runner up, boardmember FleshFreak has offered to create a custom character sheet for you based off of the fantastic character sheet he and Dueling Blue created.
To win one of these IH goodies, you should follow the following steps:
1/ Create an Iron Hero using the rules found in Monte Cook Presents: Iron Heroes.
This Iron Hero must include a complete stat block and the following descriptive fields:
Appearance
Background
Personality
Preferred Tactics
Each of these descriptive fields must be detailed enough but must leave room for the fans to make these characters their own (one paragraph on 5/6 lines for each field is enough). Think about other fans of the game when you design your Iron Hero.
The main critera of selection for the lieges will be a correct use of Iron Heroes rules as well as the originality, coherence and playability of the character submitted. There is no mandatory character level. The setting details may be as generic or specific as you wish. Remember creativity and originality count, however.
2/ Send in your submission! You can submit it through our website by registering. You may also send it via email at lieges@iron-league.com. We do not accept paper entries.
All entries should be prefixed with CONTEST ENTRY in the Subject/Title.
Your submission must include your real name, country of residence, and physical mailing address. Please specify if you would like a board name or real name (or both) published if you win.
Multiple contest entries are not permitted, so make yours the best you can possibly design.
Participants under the age of majority (age 18 in the United States or as otherwise specified by law) must provide their date of birth and a valid parent’s name and email and/or mailing address for notification purposes in the event that their submission is judged a winner.
All entries must be submitted by September 1, 2005.
The Iron Lieges will be the judges for the contest. Winners will be revealed on September 14, 2005. All contest entries remain the property of their submitter, subject to any applicable licenses, including, but not limited to, the Open Game License and the d20 License from Wizards of the Coast. The author grants the Iron League and Iron Lieges unlimited rights to display their entry on the website and cite it in promotional materials.
No purchase necessary. Open to all entrants submitting a proper entry before September 1, 2005. Void where prohibited by law; subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
