So we've just got tactics left.

A living ash heads towards the strongest source of positive energy and tries to pound it into oblivion. They do not fear of death and fight until they are destroyed (and explode in their death throes) or all sources of positive energy have been eliminated.

Hold on, Living Ashes should be able to sense positive energy, otherwise how do they respond to it? We'd better give them something like this:

Sense Positive Energy (Ex): A living ash can continuously sense positive energy sources, including the casting of healing spells and creatures from the Positive Energy Plane. This sense works in a similar fashion to the detect evil spell, including being blocked by certain materials. The range depends on the strength of the source - 30 ft. for a faint source, 60 ft. for moderate, 120 ft. for strong and 300 ft. for overwhelming.

Tactics and stats we have look good. I'm sure glad I was patient enough to wait for Shade! :p

I don't know if they need a special positive energy sense, do they? They materialize adjacent to positive energy expenditure, so they can just attack whoever's next to them. But I'm not so set against this that I'll argue if you really insist.

It's probably unnecessary, but it doesn't hurt anything so I'll add it.

Updated.

Well the Sylvan Veil says it "attempts to consume the person who cast the spell", so presumably it must be able to identify them by some means.

Besides, in the original version there was a roughly 1 minute delay between the (attempted) healing and the elemental arising, so there'd be no guarantee the healer wouldn't have moved away from the spot.

It's a bit academic of course, since Shade's included it.

Shouldn't we have a "The living ash originally appeared as the Ash Elemental, the name has been changed to prevent confusion with X" appendage to the main text?

The original description says it tries to "consume" its invoker. Do we want to include that phrasing?
A living ash seeks to destroy whatever positive energy source triggered its creation. If it cannot sense this source, it moves to attack the strongest positive energy source it can sense. Living ashes seek to pound their opponents into oblivion, then consume their remains. They do not fear death and fight until they are destroyed (and explode in their death throes) or all sources of positive energy have been eliminated.
Apart from that I can't think of any changes.
