Converting Dark*Matter Creatures

Yep. Now comes my biggest question. I haven't really dug that deep into psionics, so here's the question: do psi-like abilities work on a number of times/day principle, or do you assign power points in a certain manner to the monster? If it's the former, I think I have a good idea of what numbers I'll assign to these powers.
Times/day. You augment them, though, as if the monster had spent a number of power points equal to manifester level on them (see Shade's post #78 upthread).

Back to psychic crush, anyone know why that power has a +4 bonus to the save? Wouldn't it just make more sense to change the DC by a racial modifier or something?

Okay, any suggestions on how many times per day these psionics can be used? I thought I could calculate them, but my mind's drawing a blank.

Also, sorry I haven't been around, but I've been fighting a severely nasty sinus infection.

This is high enough CR that probably most of them can be at will. If some are high level powers, maybe 3/day. The psychic crush one maybe 3/day or every x rounds, what do you think?

That sound alright, although I'd probably trust the suggested writeup for the stats to be done by someone actually familiar with psionic beasts of this caliber.

That'd have to be Shade or RavinRay (if he's interested), I think. I only dabble with psi stuff and high-CR stuff at this point, no play experience.

Psi-Like Abilities: At will—clairvoyant sense, false sensory input (8 targets), mindlink (unwilling DC 18, 16 targets*), psionic blast (stunned 8 rounds, DC 20*), psionic suggestion (nine targets, DC 19*), read thoughts (DC 19), thought shield (power resistance 30, 18 rounds*); 3/day—mind thrust (20d10, DC 27*), psychic crush (8d6*, DC 18**). Manifester level 20th. The save DCs are Charisma-based.

*Includes augmentation for manifester level.

**Includes the inherent +4 save adjustment described in the power.

Contact seems to be one-way telepathy. It could be replicated by having a psi-like ability that works like missive, but has a larger word count, as it were.

No clue. It's an odd design choice, for sure.

I couldn't find missive. Is that a D20 Modern spell?

You quoted the wrong person ;), but missive is a modern psionic power:

Missive

Charisma [Language-Dependent]

Level: Telepath 0

Display: Visual

Manifestation Time: Attack action

Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)

Target: One living creature

Duration: Instantaneous

Saving Throw: Will negates

Power Resistance: Yes

Power Point Cost: 1

The manifester sends a telepathic message of up to ten words to any living creature within range. This is strictly a one-way exchange from the manifester to the target. The manifester and the target must share a common language for the communication to be meaningful.

Oops...sorry!

That definitely looks like an "at will" power. Although, since the range is only 75 feet, I'd probably just give him telepathy 60 ft. and skip this power.

Makes sense to me. Actually, mindlink works better than telepathy for this case anyway. So...updated. If there's no objections, we can move straight onward to skills and feats.
