Converting Dark*Matter Creatures

Alright then. Looking at Isci's skills, the d20 Modern equivalents seem to be:

Bluff
Concentration
Hide
Investigate
Knowledge skills (Arcane Lore, Current Events, Earth and Life Sciences, and Technology)
Speak Etoile, Gray, and Kinori

No idea on feats beyond adding Endurance (due to its use as one of Isci ba Fan's "skills" in Dark*Matter's Alternity engine).
 


Definitely psionic feats. The only question is which ones. We could also put ability focus to bump some DCs if we want to be mean. :devil:
 

Okay, working on those suggestions, how does this sound for a feats list?

Ability Focus (Psychic Crush), Burrowing Power, Combat Expertise, Dodge, Endurance (Bonus Feat), Flyby Attack, Ghost Attack, Mobility, Quicken Power, Spring Attack, Whirlwind Attack.
 

Lookin' pretty good, but I don't believe it can take Burrowing Power or Quicken Power, since it has psi-like abilities rather than powers.
 

That's always a problem. Are we using psionic feats from the D&D SRD, I guess? Ghost Attack would possibly be nice by RAI but not RAW probably, so do you think we should keep it (ie, it only works by RAW when attacking incorporeal creatures)? Maybe Open Minded or Psionic Meditation plus Point Blank Shot.

I'm also not sure the Whirlwind Attack feat chain makes a lot of sense, since Isci doesn't melee.
 


Yeah, we need something to replace the Whirlwind chain, then. Similarly, we could either take up using the suggestions for replacing the power feats or just go whole hog and transfer the psi-like abilities into powers.
 

After several months of rather unpleasant family-related problems, I'm trying to get back in the swing of things. As a result, I polished up and pretty much finished up Isci ba Fan in my spare time...although I just got around to posting the results here. If everyone agrees with how it worked out, I'm finally ready to move this thread onward after its long rest.
