Hold on, an shadow-warrior spirit ought to be able to see in the dark!

At the very least it needs Darkvision 60 ft. in its SQ line, like the SRD Shadow or Wraith (which they get as one of their Undead traits), but I'd prefer 90 ft. or 120 ft. darkvision.

I'll put in 90 ft. as a placeholder, pending feedback.

In campaigns that use the Oriental Adventures sourcebook rules, the ninja spirit shadow has the Spirit subtype.

Although I'd be just as happy putting Medium Undead (Spirit) in its Size/Type and not give it a subentry.

That's what I did with the Flying Spirit and no-one kicked up a great deal of fuss.

Hmm, actually only the Tatami Goblin version of the Flying Spirit has the Spirit subtype, it got left out of the Crazy Bones one.

I'll update the latter with Spirit too once I've Spiritualised the Ninja Spirit Shadow.
