It should probably be stated that a dhour can only have one mark at a time, and that the mark can be removed with psychic chirurgery. Also, I don't think that its target needs to be physically present at all at the time. I think we should also reintroduce some of these concepts as well:

A bloodhound adds his bloodhound level as an insight bonus on all Gather Information, Listen, Search, Spot, and Survival checks made to determine the whereabouts of a mark. As a bloodhound gains levels, he gains additional abilities that can be used against a mark.

Note that a split dhour will have a minimum of 1 HD, so it will take at most 6 months. Does this work?

i like all of that now. :) why not add its full hit dice as an insight bonus?

damage reduction 10/piercing?

Shouldn't skills be 40 ranks (4 at 10 ranks)? I'd recommend: Knowledge (the planes) 10, Listen 5, Search 10, Spot 5, Survival 10

Feats: Iron Will, Skill Focus (Survival), Track

I'd make the base DC for tracking on the Ethereal 20.

Environment: Astral Plane or Ethereal Plane

Caster level 9th for plane shift? (the minimum caster level for a cleric; sor/wiz is higher level).

CR 6?
 





that's one heavy piece of glop! ;)

the psi-like abilities need some work (X/day and such), and we should probably hook it up with non-psionic variants as well.
