Converting Psionic Creatures

I'd actually bump Wis (to 14?) a little since "they have remarkable cunning."

Do the PLAs all have good 3.5 equivalents?

Str 17, Dex 19, Con 17, Int 4, Wis 12, Cha 14

That plus Freyar's wish to increase the Wisdom will suit me. The original's AC translates plus the above Dex translates to NA +4.

Brain Spider: Str 17, Dex 19, Con 17, Int 4, Wis 14, Cha 14, NA +4

My first thoughts: I'd like to find a way to simplify the venom to a more normal poison, but that will require stretching a little from the original mechanics (too bad we can't just use the Pathfinder affliction rules!).

Have it do Dex + Con as initial damage and Int + Con as secondary damage?

That could work for the poison, and maybe we could throw in some paralysis (1d4 or 1d6 rounds) with the initial damage, too.

Throwing in some Paralysis works for me. I like 1d4 rounds better than 1d6.

It's no more Hit Dice than a Mind Flayer, and they're the same size.

As for the PLAs, contact is unnecessary in 3.5 psionics as telepathic contact is automatic (we ruled on that in an earlier conversion); the others are all converted with the same name IIRC; double pain might be inflict pain (I'll get back to that).

Let's see, using the Complete Psionic conversion notes:

mind link = N/A (empathy? psion 1st)
ego whip = ego whip (psion 2nd)
intellect fortress = intellect fortress (psion 4th)
mind blank = personal mind blank (psion 7, shadow 6)

shadow form = shadow body (psion 8th lvl)
body equilibrium = body equilibrium (psywarrior/psion 2nd lvl)
double pain = painful strike (psychic warrior 2nd lvl)
graft weapon = graft weapon (psychic warrior 3rd lvl)

The mind blank and shadow form appear awful high level for a creature with a manifestation level of 3rd. Hows about swapping for concealing amorpha and thought shield (both psywarrior/psion 2nd lvl)?
