Re: Brust
How did that old saying go? "Nothing cramp's a sorcerer's style like a dagger in the back."
"No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style."
Brust is great
I'm fond of Blackwand - she's... interesting
From Saberhagen - Shieldbreaker rocks

I wish we'd seen some more of Doomgiver - we only ever vaguely saw it in action once, from memory. The Farslayer War in
Farslayer's Story was a neat idea.
Anyone else remember Carole Nelson Douglas' "Six of Swords" series? There were some named swords in there, weren't there? (Although apparently not that memorable, 'cos I can't remember their names...)
Then there's Albion, one of the Seven Swords of Wayland... charged with the power of light and darkness...
(The seven, from memory, were Morax, Solas, Beleth, Flaures, Orias, Elidor, and Albion...)
My favourite sword, though?
"He was a great sword-maker, my father. And when the six-fingered man appeared and requested a special sword, my father took the job. He slaved a year before he was done."
"I've never seen its equal. "
