Erythnul, last of the Shouldn't-Be-A-God set. First of that set to fail horribly even when reimagined as a non-divine outsider. We have demons who do this better.

Meanwhile, how can Gruumsh be in danger of falling off? He's one of the few Greyhawk gods that actually has a cool myth!

My votes for Heironeous. It seems the majority of the huge paladin morality debates that errupt from time to time on every D&D message board know to man comes from Paladins following the type of philosphy he represents. While that philosphy would still exist if he didn't, he's a least a target to take my frustration out on.

Heironeous and Hextor are the blandest of the bunch, yet they are getting the least hate

I kind of like them both myself. They've got that brotherhood/good vs evil dichotomy going on. Which I think makes them a bit less bland than many of the other gods up above. Plus, I really liked that picture of the two of them in Deities and Demigods.

QFT. They're a nice pair of gods for Paladins / Blackguards, and it would be kinda cool to have them both secretly be the same LN deity, if you really needed to throw your paladin for a loop.

In other words, they got potential. Potential is different from bland. (Boccob is bland, but doesn't fire my imagination. Heironeous looks like Mr Paladin Deity from Central Casting, but he's known to be fallible, and that's worth a lot in stories that feature atonement / conversion / human beings making human mistakes.

Anyway. Obad-Hai rules! :D

Cheers, -- N

You know, after the whole bit from Tome of Magic regarding that one vestige (the platemail summoning one), I'm actually rather curious as to who their mother is supposed to be.
