COS level 1 Wizard (Possible Spoilers?)

I have just read Treantmonk's 1-20th level wizard guide and loved it too. Although I like the druid mix a lot, I am unsure if my new DM would allow this Familiar/Good Berry combo.

I think the Alert feat will keep me alive more than the arguably more versatile and useful Magic Initiate feat. Time will tell.

Cheers for all the replies. I now am pondering removing Thunderwave and either adding another Ritual or Mage Armour having already swapped shield into the mix.

I think the thing to weigh up with mage armour is not so much knowing it as casting it. It's basically -1 spell slot per day for +3 AC.

Comprehend Languages is underrated.

You can't move mountains with it, but you could talk to someone who might move them for you.
