Costing Out: Items that Boost One Save

Ok, I believe the forumula for magic items that give bonuses to saves is something like bonus squared x 1000 gp (correct me if I'm wrong).

But that forumula assumes you boost ALL saves. What if you just want to boost one save, say fort saves for a wizard? Divide by three? How would you all cost out that item (Vest of Fort Save + 4, for example).

Here's an example from the SRD, a psionic item.

3.5 SRD - Psionics said:
Crystal Mask of Mindarmor: A crystal mask of mindarmor grants the wearer a +4 insight bonus on all Will saving throws.

Faint telepathy; ML 5th; Craft Universal Item, conceal thoughts; Price 10,667 gp; Weight 1/2 lb.

Hold on a second - isn't that example there not because it gives a boost to saves, but because it duplicates a psionic power? We're asking for typeless save boosts, not duplication of existing spells or powers, particularly those that have named bonuses. (At least, not in the original question.)

Well the item doesn't duplicate the psionic power (it does something kind of similar). It does give an insight bonus instead of a resistance bonus, but that can be better since it then it can stack with a resistance bonus from some other source.

Near as I can tell, that's running a rounded up one third of the formula for Save Bonus (Other):
Bonus*Bonus*2000 gp; bonus 4 -> 32000 gp
32000/3 gp-> 10,666 and 2/3 gp

Which, if that is an acceptable guideline, would put a resistance bonus to will saves at ((bonus^2) * 1000)/3 (round up)
