How come no one is talking about counter trips? If this monk is using flurry of trips, that means some of the trips failed, which means the opponent immediately gets to try to trip you, and guess what? You don't get the +4 against that trip. Then *you* are the one getting screwed.
That's one of the balancing factors... trip is one of the few manuevers that can totally backfire.
I think that if the opponents don't play stupidly and you make sure to follow *all* the rules involving tripping and improved trip, that it's really not that bad. I mean, instead of flurry of trips, your monk could have been *attacking* three times.
