Mouse, I searched webwise last month when i posted the idea for a Blair witch / sticks adventure starring Mageknight minis. The idea comes from these 3 minis from the mageknight line, the Cursed Hag, Tanglewood spirit, deadwood golem and the much maligned wood golem. the ironwind Wormwood treeman makes a sweet boss fig. http://ironwindmetals.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=128_129&products_id=3641

The paperback is carried in most Mega-bookstores [the kind that are usually cool if you sit and read] in my region, If you have those round your parts, sit and read it.

The Spell Compendium cover looks "fake" -- by that I mean a blatant mock-up.

The Fane of the Drow cover is übercheesy, I hope it's a mock-up.

Magic of Eberron is teh yowza.

And geeh, an Epic Elminster with which to kick Mordenkainen's level 9 ass in the skirmish game. Cool. :\

Fantistic Locations!

(I also like that the drow on the left is ready to behead his fellow with the two scimitars... Is it possible that the drow themselves are tired of Drizzt-clones? :D)

Yes, it almost looks like that. But I guess its just supposed to be a pose. Lots of posing here - the middle drow looks like he need to go to the bathroom... :)

Beyond looking a bit cheesy ( liked the hellspike prison better), I hope the real covers are proofread a little better.
"Fantistic Locations".. And isn't the author's last name Kestrel instead of Ketsrel?

Races set cover has to be a mock-up, it looks too sloppy to be anything else. I love the Heroes of Horror cover though, its got atmosphere to burn. Easily match for the Lords of Madness cover (which I adore).

And you're right Gez. Kill him good!

Oh.. And one thing I liked with Heroes of Horror (besides being a very nice cover), is that the iconics on the cover are Alhandra, Nebin and Eberk. Its a rare thing that the last two gets some limelight.. ;)
