Cowboy Bebop still thumbs up!

I haven't seen the whole series in a while and I've never watched the episodes back to back. One of my friends gave me the boxed set for my birthday a few months ago and I finally got a chance to watch it.

Yeah, that's some good stuff man.

Makes me want to pick up the soundtrack and the manga.

The soundtrack(s) are great. Absolutely, totally, fantastically, great.

The manga - not so much. But still decent if you're a Bebop fan. (You do have the movie along with that boxed set, I presume.)

The movies great. I took my girlfriend to see it at our indepenedent theater, the Music Box, and we dug it. (We werent too crazy about Ghost in the Shell first time we saw it on the big screen, but it grew on us in DVD)

I watched it via Netflix. That is one of the few Japanese anime I'll sit still and watch - most all others grate at my 1970's Saturday Cartoon and Comic Book Sensibilities.

I'm bummed about the way the series ended, but to be honest I couldn't see it ending any other way and still be satisfying.

This series is the ONLY series I will willingly watch the dub of. In fact, I actually prefer it. Not only is the story and animation great, but the VAs for the English dub are PERFECT. Everything is great about it. In fact, I think I'm going to watch it again.

Yep,I like the dub voices too. I am one of the few anime fans who generally does not mind dubs. Then again to me, all Japanese voices sound the same, that is all male voices sound the same, and all female voices sound the same. English just seems capable of expressing more to me. Now, I know some rabid fan will dispute me on this, but oh well.

The ending to Cowboy Bebop has to be one of my favorite endings of all time...for anything.

Most of the time, when I really like a series, I always feel somewhat upset when I get to the ending, because then the fun is over, and I end up wishing there was more. But the ending to Cowboy Bebop was so utterly perfect, that I simply couldn't imagine more. It accomplished everything (for me) and I simply couldn't envision anything past that.
