Are there any ideas or support for such a feat or ability as craft magic architecture?
I got this idea when developing the concept of a cenotaph for my campaign, which is basically a monument erected to honor a fallen friend whose remains are (a) buried elsewhere, (b) cannot be found, or (c) totally destroyed.
The idea is very similar to the planar touchstone concept introduced by WotC... With a certain feat, one could benefit from sacred sites, including revering a fallen ally at a specially constructed cenotaph. Since it would require a feat to gain access to the cenotaph's boon (a minor bonus like +1 fortitude saves, or +4 saves against charm), I am very hesitant to make "craft cenotaph" into a feat as well. However, perhaps "craft magic architecutre" or simply require certain components in the cenotaph's construction?
How would constructing a cenotaph be handled? What magical/semi-magical properties would be applicable to a cenotaph?
Currently, the first order devotee's boon is +4 Diplomacy and Sense Motive checks with undead and dead souls (with a required offering). After visiting the site consistantly for one year, the devotee will gain a higher-order boon: The ability to succeed at one task their ally failed at (or did not complete to satisfaction)... 2+WIS modifier bonus once a day on the appropriate roll. (3 uses). Once used up, the ability can be renewed only through a special ceremony.
