Crazy things around home

Sorry if I'm not responsive to communication this week and last.

Last week my father, while traveling with my mom, was checked into a hospital about three hours from home with a sinus bleed that was so bad that he lost nearly half his blood volume through his nose. And it wouldn't stop bleeding.

A day later... it wouldn't stop bleeding.

Two days after that... it still wouldn't stop bleeding.

So we spent a lot of time runnign back and forth instead of working on ENPub products and my school work.

But my father is back from the hospital now, and although his nose still hasn't stopped bleeding, it is only bleeding a little bit.

---

Meanwhile, my sister-in-law gave birth to her first child on Sunday. I'm an uncle. Seems I wasn't getting enough hospital time in in the past few years, so I have to spend several hours a day in hospitals this week to make up for it, eh?

---

But the morning my father was released we got some other news. The night before, Denise's aunt (who is very close to our own age, has kids the same age as the gelflings) was nearly killed in her home by her husband. She was taken to hospital in critical condition with over a dozen stab wounds to her throat, torso, arms and hands.

She is recovering now, and has JUST been moved from Trauma to a regular room (she was operated on on Sunday). But it is one hell of a trauma for a the extended family as they have been married for about 16 years, have three kids, and so on.

And of course, just as the hospital-related traumas wind down... my exams begin for the marketing program I'm in at school.

---

So, needless to say (but about to be said anyways), I have been a little slack about responding to emails and stuff. And a few of our releases may be held back a few weeks from the proposed release schedule.

Dang dude. Do they know the cause of your dad's sinus bleed? I've never heard of anyone losing half their blood volume through their nose before. That sounds like something to get checked out since it could be a sign of something very wrong. I wish him a speedy recovery. Same to your friend. And your sister (of course my wife and I just had our second child, delivered as a C-section, and I'm always amazed at how quickly women recover from this).

Wow. :( HH, take care of yourself and yours. I hope your father's condition can be gotten control of soon, that your aunt recover quickly, and that your new nephew (niece?) has a tranquil and healthy beginning to life. I'll send some good vibes out your way.

Hellhound,
That's way too much hospital time. I hope your father and Denise's aunt get better soon. Great to hear about your sister-in-law's child.
