I disagree, the Leechwalker for example is composed of thousands of leeches, and thus qualifies for the vermin creature type due to a leech being a worm. I don't know what the ectoplasmic vermin looks like (don't have ghostwalk, yet), but it is most likely some form of worm or insect/arachnid. Sonikal's proposition doesn't even remotely look like anything that would be classified as a vermin.

You are right, it deserves to be an Outsider way more than a Vermin. These are just concepts, and just because Knight Otu considers it, it doesn't necessarily mean he will. Plus, dont take this the wrong way...

No offence, but isn't this kinda hypocritical?. Even so I think its the best idea so far, infact I only got my idea from a bizarre dream I had (too many tubs of Ben & Jerry's I think) . So, are we still friends?...

Make the changes I pointed out above, and I'm willing to be a bit nit-picky about your submission .

There's nothing to stop Vermin from being extraplanar, and the plane would likely shape its vermin appropriately.

Dreams are one of the best source for monster ideas out there... as far as dreams can be considered to be "out there".
(Of course, one also has to remember the dream in question, which is not really certain. )

Sonikal: Of course we are still friends. That was never in doubt, and regarding the 'Adamant Beetle', check out the devestation vermin in the ELH, and the Bonespear and Century Worm in the Fiend Folio for ideas of how to bend the rules. The bonespear for example is a cricket from Archeron...
