No problem with those.

I second that - I give you the Gargantuan Gargantua. :p

those sound fine to me. :) i was also considering Endurance, Iron Will, and Toughness. i agree with ditching Improved Unarmed Strike, as that never seems to be necessary for legitimate slam attacks.

absolutely - it seems silly not to. ;)

in addition to that,

as mentioned earlier, I do think they should have more natural armor, as this would only make sense logically. A Huge storm giant has +12, so I figure they should get at least that much.

In wildspace, a colossus is big enough to be its own ship. Indeed, it has the same air volume as a 15-ton ship. It consumes as much air as a full crew of 10. The colossus can coast through space for months without running out of air.

I'm not quite sure how that would translate exactly (the 15-ton ship part, or full crew of 10). We could say that it can, for example, hold its breath for 2 days per point of Constitution score?

And the mountain giant is +29. Why not split the difference and go with +17?

Hold Breath (Ex): A colossi can hold its breath for a number of days equal to 2 x its Constitution score before it risks drowning or suffocation.

heheheh...

Armor Class: 20 (-4 size, -3 Dex, +17 natural), touch 3, flat-footed 20

will still be ridiculously easy to hit, at least from opponentss appropriate to its CR. ;) in fact, we may have to lower its CR due to things like the low AC and single actions only!

you want to take one down quickly? gather a gang of spellcasters with a lot of touch attack spells. :)

Sadly, that tactic works rather well against most giants. The lack of SR and usually weak Reflex and Will saves makes them easy pickings for spellcasters. Our party mage often jokes about going on "giant runs" to earn easy XP when he's close to leveling. In fact, we laugh about how the giant communities ought to sacrifice one of their own to him so he'll leave the rest of the tribe alone!

And yeah, that should affect CR.

Slam and rock damage should only be +20 (normal Str modifier), no?

Shouldn't grapple be +58 (+26 BAB +20 Str +12 size)?

I'd leave off the "by character class" on the LA line.

Stunning Clap should probably be Str-based.

For Enhanced Metabolism, +4 bonus? Also, how about if it makes the initial save it never has to make secondary saves against poison and can fight off disease (once incubated) with a single successful save?

Enhanced Metabolism (Ex): A colossus has a +4 racial bonus on saving throws against disease and poison. If a colossus succeeds on its initial save against poison, it automatically succeeds on its secondary save. If a disease reaches the incubation stage, the colossus can fight off the disease completely with a single successful save.

hmm, i was going by what Erica had assigned it, which is 1 1/2. i guess you're right on the rock, given what i see in the MM. however, the single slam is its only melee attack.

my bad! i didn't have my chart handy and thought the size bonus was +8.

the DC isn't high enough already? ;) that would make it DC 47 correct?
