Creature Catalog HomeBrews site- slight problem

Grazzt

Demon Lord
OK- I think it is a good idea, but one thing bothers me.

I have gotten a few emails from people that said they posted a monster in the HomeBrews forum here only to see it end up on the new HomeBrews site without their permission or without them submitting it to the site.

So- all I ask is that anyone that submits to it or the guys that run it, don't take anything from the HomeBrews forum without at least asking the guy who designed or posted it.

I realize that stuff posted in HomeBrews is free, public domain, or whatever, but it is in poor taste to take someone's creation and post it without at least asking them.

And if you have posted something in the HomeBrews forum and it is on the site (and you would prefer it not to be), please email them directly. I have no control over that site. (Contrary to a few of the emails I received, I have no affiliation with the site, but that is a post for another thread.)

Gee sorry guys, yeah don't bug Scott, bug me its my site.

I didn't realise this would cause such a big problem (I was just trying to give my site some content)

All emails should be addressed to sam@blacksway.net and as Scott says he has nothing to do with the site (perhaps I should change the name?)

I will try and contact everyone who I have posted their creatures over the next few days and set everything right but if you either have a problem or don't mind me posting stuff then let me know!

Apologies again to everyone.

I don't mind my Dragon Steed being there, but there is some color content that I would like to change in it. I'll re-submit when I figure out exactly how I want to clean it up.

It's my thought that you should change the name of the site or at the very least have some easy-to-find wording that says you are not affiliated with the Creature Catalog site. I like your idea, but I think that you jumped the gun slightly. Good luck with the site, and you shall see some submissions from me in the future.

In the mean time I have removed it for you. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have also renamed the site to "Homebrew Creature Site" and put a notice stating that I am not affilated with ENworld or the Creature Catalog.

Thanks for your patience.

Blacksway: I am pleased that you did as I asked about the Corinthian, as well as removed my e-mail address from the drake. Thank you. Also if I post a creature that you would like on your site, just ask, and I'll decide on a creature by creature basis.

You didn't ahve to remove it Blacksway (now I have to dig through the old threads to find it again ;) ) I wasn't offended, to the contrary, I was flattered that it was one of the pieces that you used. It shouldn't be too long for me to get the flavor-text that I want for it, though.

Hey guys, I thought that I would point out that I'm a template freak. I love 'em and I can't do enough with them. What I was wondering is how well received a slew of templated creatures (with flavor text) would be? Would you good folks appreciate and/or use them? (At least until a good program for one-button template application comes out?)

Oh, I love templated creatures.

go for it.

Every players worst nightmare (using templates), no matter what their level, also know as the campaign ender, slayer of munchkins, and bane of rules lawyers, I bring you:

Psudonatural Half-Dragon (red) ghost tarrasque. With the rejuvination special ability.

It can't be killed !!!!

And yes, I do have the stats for it :D
