Creature Ideas needed, look inside.

I have noticed the lack of aquatic creatures in the MM, MM2, and Fiend Folio. There are some, but they are few and far between. This kinda sucks when one considers the immense size of oceans on most game worlds (Dark Sun not included )

So basically what I am looking for are ideas for aquatic monsters, you don't have to worry about stats or anything, all I need is the concept, basically a name and a short description will do. The creature should preferebly be able to survive in the depths of the oceans.

Any takers?

Good idea, but what should I call it and what does it look like? But I still like the general idea.

IMC I have aquatic Willowisps (flashes of sentinet phrospheresence), aquatic Otyugh (no feet) - basically any abberation with tentacles (grick, gibbering mouther) can be made aquatic and fit right in, various giant feindish animals (eels, squid, sharks, dolphins) etc, Sea Lions, Collosal Salt Water Crocodiles, Giant Sea Scorpions (with vermin Scorpion stats), Aquatic Carrion Crawlers, Merrow Mages, Aquatic Dinosaurs (eg Mosasaur), Aquatic Dopplegangers, merfolk with eel tails, various sea serpents, sahuagin and our own Riptide Horror/Scylla

Octocrab (also needs a name)
Aquatic Willowisps (for the deep sea )
Aquatic tentacle monsters (grick, otyugh, ect)
Giant fiendish aquatic animals.
Colossal Crocs! (Well, I have dire crocs, would those do?)
Sea Scorpions (Now why didn't I think of that, I love these creatures)
Aquatic Carrion Crawlers (Good idea, fit's in)
Merrow Mages (A new creature or just merrows with class levels?)
Aquatic Dinos (Mosasaur, Itchyosaur, any others?)
Aquatic Dopplegangers (Again, why didn't I think of this?)
Merfolk with eel tails (Good idea, I need more playable aquatic races)
Sea Serpents (Well, there is the sea drake allready...)

Aquatic Ogre Magi (with spells adapted to suit)

The Collosal Crocs I use are entirely Aquatic and are probabbly a cross between Croc and Tarrasque in someways

Another idea is Monster Fish - say a Huge fish whose body is covered in spiked armour, or perhaps the creatures in the underwater scene from the Phantom Menace

I might make stats for a were-octopus soon. . .

1) Race of intelligent sharks with a pair of arms jutting obscenely from the side of their heads. They tend to be Rangers or Barbarians
2) A hive of tiny albino, psionic crabs that all protect a gigantic, psionic lobster-like queen.
3) Magical, human legged merfolk that can stand on waves. They tend to be Bards and Sorcerors.
4) A race of wolfs with a fishe's tail, like the canine equivelant of a Hippocampus.
5) Race of big, intelligent, manually dextrous squids with a passion for evocation spells.
6) A colossal walking coral reef.
7) A large fish that floats as though it were swimming above the ocean (wrap your head around that one!)
8) A massive exoskeletoned hybrid of Rhino and Crab.
9) Does any know what an Ethergaunt is?. Well how about a Blue and Green Ethergaunts, two aquatic subspecies of this ethereal race.
10) Reef Giants; Oceanic giants that have the legs of a seahorse, as well as their head protrusions rather than hair.
11) Anglerkin; Fish people whose heads are way bigger than their torso's, and their arms and legs are stumped and webbed.
12) Magical, prismatic Starfish that swim in swarms.
13) Sharkfolk; a more agressive, greyskinned, leaner Merfolk.
14) Coral Dragon; gigantic, draconic sea-horse with amazingly colored bodies and extravagent bodily protrusions.
15) A powerful aqautic zombie that controls masse's of tentacled sea-weed.
