Adwyn -- I think this is totally true. It's not so much that you're breaking rules, it's just that this girl has some kind of unnatural affinity for undead -- she calls and they come. There are no really good rules for that.

In fact, if I were doing this; I wouldn't even stat the girl at all. If the PCs are able to attack her, they'd be instantly successful in killing her, most likely, but actually targetting the girls would be tricky.

I agree and I really like this idea. Especially since she's just a little girl. Depending on how old you make her, this could be a conundrum for most good-aligned PCs. How can the heroes attack a little girl, even if she seems to be controlling undead? The best would be when the PCs try detecting magic or making spellcraft rolls (or whatever) and find nothing.

Well, in terms of making it rules-legal, you could say that she's a necromancer's daughter, and that many of the wraiths and specters are people who tried to kill her to get to the necromancer. He would kill them, turn them into undead, and then bind them with a permanent command to protect his daughter from all harm.

That was centuries ago. The necromancer, who eventually died, never realized that the negative energy could stunt his daughter's growth, or that the undead could infuse a bit of their essence into her to stop her from growing older -- so that she would never grow old and die, which, technically, qualifies as harm.

So, a very very old child who only knows that the specters kill anyone who attacks or even threatens her, whether she wants them to or not. Adults who hurt her feelings, boys who put frogs in her handbag or pull her hair, anyone. Dead, spawned.
