Does someone have to coup-de-grace you with a fire or acid to keep you from regaining hit points?

Same tired and stupid arguments. Same trite evidence. We've done this song and dance before. Just because you found someone else with as thick a tin-foil hat as you doesn't mean either of you are right.

The fact that he can't speak with R&D members about what's going on is hardly evidence of anything. I wrote a book for a small time gaming company and I couldn't talk shop with anyone else in the industry. It was in my contract. Standard operating procedure. The reason the company is asking its fans questions is because they realized we like that and that oftentimes we do know what were talking about. As for talking about older editions: PR. PR and Mearls being an old-school kid. As for the shrinking staff: WotC has ALWAYS laid people off. The fact of the matter is that last year was the first in a long while which didn't HAVE any layoffs. The author of the article also seem to be forgetting about this little thing that's happening right now, what was it called? Oh yeah. The Recession. Of course a slow economic meltdown couldn't have ANY effect on jobs or productivity. It has to be 5e. Right.

Stupid and persistent troll is stupid and persistent.

Yeah.....That's real mature of you.

If wotc were gearing up for a new edition, they'd be hiring, not firing. All the evidence this guy musters hints against a new edition, not strong evidence for it.

Moreover, this is the same trollbait claim I've seen every month since I've started following DnD online in '04. WotC is firing people, being somewhat hush about upcoming projects, new editions sell really well, therefore expect a new edition soon. Blah blah blah...

In all honesty, we don't know who else Wizards may have hired, nor do we know if Wizards needs to hire anyone else. The blue prints for a new edition may already be there and may only need the man power that they currently have to pull it off.

Unlikely. Drawing up blueprints takes a few designers and architects, actually building the building takes a few hundred people. Yet your article talks about all the firings from WotC, not the rush of hirings. Its just a bunch of pointless meaningless speculation. At some point in the next decade, one of these articles will be right, but that's not really a reason to pay attention to them.

FYI, the author of that blog post now works for Paizo, so of course he's not allowed to talk to WotC R&D about certain subjects despite the fact that he used to work there and is friends with them. I doubt he blathers Paizo stuff to WotC R&D.

Yeah.....That's real mature of you.

Maturity has nothing to do with it. Being tired does. Namely, sick and tired of you and those like you. Most of the others have gone away: you keep trying though. All you've done for a month now is either post trolling conspiracy threads, or make vague backhanded critiques that saying nothing outright, but imply a lot. And when anyone calls you on it, either suggesting politely you try a different tone or just calling the spade a spade, you play the victim card and act like people are being bullies.

My benevolence and goodwill have dried up. If you wanted to have a sensible discussion you would have started one. Instead you post another crack-pot spouting the same crack-pot BS we've seen for months now. When you dump a burning turd on the porch, don't be surprised when people throw it back at you.

Also, if the only response you can muster to an entire list of reasons why your article was full of it is a stock comeback used by cardboard cut outs of teenage girls in bad teenage dramas, you should seriously consider the stability of your position.

Under those conditions, we on the moderating staff expect a mature person to walk away from the discussion.

Nobody is making you, or anyone else, read this thread, or respond to it. You can choose to not engage. We even have an Ignore List, so that you never have to see any of his posts. We have hundreds of other threads you cold post in constructively, but instead, you choose this.

Needless to say, we expect everyone in this thread to treat each other with a maximum of respect and courtesy from this point on.
