What exactly are we supposed to take away from the article?
That you never know what the near future may bring. Is it proof? Nah, it just opens that tiny percentage chance that it could be true.

No, the article doesn't open anything. It's just random speculation.Nah, it just opens that tiny percentage chance that it could be true.
Just to make it clear, the article linked to in the OP is not a Critical Hits blog article. It is a blog post entitled "Critical Hit" on Stephen Radney-MacFarland's NeoGrognard blog. That much is obvious once you click through, but I certainly hopped into this thread wondering what the Critical Hits team had posted that ForeverSlayer was so excited about, so probably a few others are doing the same.

Nothing to see here. Move right along.
Just using an old idiom here. Why do you bother with trying to get people to move along?
I'm sure they will if they want to.Why not let them read the article and decide for themselves?

Isn't gencon on right now? That kinda disproves the author's claim right there. 4e's announcement was basically done by the time gencon got started. The fact that gencon has started without a major announcement of edition change pretty much blows that open.
Any competitor spreading FUD about another is the worst sort of sourcing.
