Cross pollination: Lindy Hop and D&D

I used to swing dance, (It's what got my wife and I hooked up.) but have little time for that with two children now.

While I don't dance, a friend of mine whom I game with on occasion is a dancer. 5 nights a week he is either taking lessons or going to dances (there is a large dance community in C'ville). I don't know how he finds time to game, actually...

I'm just curious if there is any correlation of subcultures here... does anybody else do swing dancing and RPGs?

What? There are other subcultures, other things you can do besides play D&D and wait to play D&D?

Maldur: For what it's worth to you, swing dancing is the easiest way to meet girls EVER. :) (And it's fun! Check out some of the videos on the website in my sig!)

Cthulu's Librarian: That actually sounds a lot like me, except on the other side of the coin.. I'm teaching, DJing, or practising for shows with my troupe 5-6 days a week. I have time to game tomorrow, woot!

Ferrix: Are they in Montreal as well? Of the dancers that I know here, there are at least a dozen people that have gamed at some point in their shady backgrounds. Most haven't played in years though.

Talmun: Yep, there's getting out and boogeying, too. It's great exercise!
