Cruise liner fends off pirate attack

If every ship had a group of ninjas, pirates would no longer be a problem.

Actually, going by the ninja equation (the more ninjas there are in a group, the weaker each individual ninja is), it would probably be better for the ship to have only a single ninja aboard. :)

The Ninja Theory:

Many Ninjae = Chumps
One Ninja = Every storyline for every modern anime hero

The plural of 'ninja' is 'ninja.' Japanese doesn't pluralize words. *CL cap off*

I think this is awesome. Time to start a big bounty hunter fleet and kick some modern pirate arse.

That, or a US/Russian Attack Sub nearby.

A whole bunch of high end Naval Fleets are still running around without a whole lot to do (US & British at the top). I don't see why we can't get some sort of UN Agreement to sit a Cruiser or two near those trouble areas.

Just have to sink one pirate ship via massive ordinance to send the message.

Of course, Ironing out an International Anti-Piracy force might take decades to begin with.

Unless they were NINJA PIRATES.

I kinda like ninji. Sure, it's a Latin plural for a word that originated in Japan, but I don't think Japanese (as a language) can claim exclusive rights to that word anymore. That's what they get for importing it so heavily in the 80s with movies like Michael Dudikoff's American Ninja or TV shows like Lee Masters as The Ninja.

The U.S. Navy has always done quite a bit of patrolling to quell pirates in various trouble spots around the world.

BTW be sure to cover your ears when you read the following article about the pirate attack...

You know, this reminds me of a newspaper article I read a few years back where a group of pirates based in Iran thought that they had spotted an unprotected cargo ship in the Persian Gulf. When they approached the ship to board it, however, the vessel suddenly began to open fire on them. Turns out that the ship they thought was an easy mark was actually a U.S. Navy vessel.

Needless to say, the pirates got the hell out of there as quickly as they could.

While I would initially agree with you...

nin·ja Listen: [ nnj ]
n. pl. ninja or nin·jas

Both are correct.

And just because it's interesting:
[Japanese : nin, to endure + ja, person (from Middle Chinese tsia).]
