Crusade against Lolth - need DM advice

In my campaign this adventure would involve piloting a mech against Lloth's spider ship. Don't know if that would fit in you're campaign or not though.

1. Map out your planes - how does one go from one plane to another, what steps have to be made. This gets the player to the levels needed.
2. Prophecy - this tells the player when, where, and provides hints at a weapon or such
3. Weapon - the armor, the sword, the ring, the helm, etc.

Would the 3.5 FR text "City of the Spider Queen" be of any value in this endeavour?
