Cthulu

Cerubus Dark

First Post
Anyone know where I can find some basic stats for a Cthulu? I want to convert one for my own games but I don't feel like buying the CoC book for just one monster. I just like the idea of an elder god in my campagin world. I plan on using that as a replacement for the Terrasque.

Any help you can give me would be great.

I hate to break it to you, but, since good old Cthulhu is fully statted in all his (or should I say it's?) gory glory in the CoC book, it's a sure bet that noone here will post a version, sorry.

No worries,
I chatted with some people in the chat room and we narrowed it down to

Cthulu
Huge Outsider

Stats
He eats you. Thats about it.

Any more details and it would get sick.

Thanks though.

I just bought CoCD20 today, and here is what I can tell you about The Big Octopus Head

Cthulhu (Great Old One)
Colossal Badass
HD: Lotsa d12s (hp: more than you can ever hope to deal with anything but a boatload of epic level characters)
CR: Puh-leeze...do you really think you could beat him?

I heard that when they playtested the D&D appendix to CoCD20, they went through 13  20th level iconic characters before one was able to banish him, yes banish him, not destroy or kill, but banish. Talk about a tough SOB. And the playtesters where even allowed to brin in a new character in the round after the one they used was killed. Now that's my kind of Badass. Thriteen 20th Level Iconic characters in one battle, I doubt Tiamat would be able to pull that off :D

Yup...Cthulhu is nasty, but not the nastiest nasty in the CoCD20 book!

Shub-Niggurath, Yog-Shothoth, and Azathoth give me nightmares just thinking about their hitpoints...

Think thousands...

Since we are on this topic (shameless plug to follow---->)

Tsathogga will be fully statted in 3e format in the upcoming hardcover Creature Catalog as will several of his minions. :D

(shameless plug off)

Note that Scott is referring to Tsathogga the DnD deity, not Tsathogghua (note the difference in spelling) from CoCD20. There is a difference...I think...lol

BTW Tsathogghua in the CoCD20 book is rather nasty, too...

But I have one question...where is the love for Y'golonac? They have a picture for him, but no stats! Oversight? Future web enhancement? I want my bloated headless god with the mouths on his hands!
