Cue the Choir (Final Battle music)

Mikseri's stuff is pretty good. www.mikseri.net. But because his website is in some kind of weird dead language, I can't figure out where the songs are I liked.
He posts here so maybe he can come in and suggest a few appropriate ones.

You probably mean this: http://www.mikseri.net/artists/essence.48147.php - mikseri is just the name for this free music downloading service (mixer in Finnish).
Matti makes very nice, atmospheric music, well suited to different roleplaying purposes.

It occurred to me at work tonight that the Matrix movies had some really kickin' battle music, several of which pieces would be perfect for climactic confrontations. Neodammarung on the Revolutions ST is probably the most obvious example, but you could also use Kidfried, Moribund Mifune (same ST) and Burly Brawl (from Reloaded) to spectacular effect. For inspiration, I particularly like going back to the ST for the first movie and playing Anything Is Possible.

Players who recognize the music might find it a bit jarring if you're playing a fantasy game with no sci-fi elements in it, true, but the music's still quite good. And if you happen to be playing a modern, sci-fi, or fantasy-with-sci-fi-elements game (Dragonstar, say), they hit the spot.

Paranoia + Yanni = Amusingly strung out and stressed players. :]

Just cue up the same driving, cloying, claptrap track of choice every time a fight starts. It's quite evil.

Nerf,

UGH! That's just wicked beyond belief and not in a good way man!

NO ONE should have to suffer through Yanni. :p

That's not what I meant - I was talking about an actual game of Paranoia with Yanni as the cheesy, chronic 'motivating' theme for every battle.

Come to think of it, I think I like your idea. Doing this in a standard D&D game would be quite evil. It's a way to get the party casters to target themselves with Silence.

I just want it to be clean I didn't condone this nor should I be considered the guy that started this idea.

Just saying! :p :)
