Current Favorite Class?

Probably the Barbarian right now. I've only played one (and he's brand new), but I've been trying to stretch the normal classes lately. I like Paladins right now too. I've been playing Fighters of various types and medium-BAB archers (Favored Soul), though.

I'm hoping my next characters won't be fighter-types, though.

Currently playing a fighter, which is a rare thing for me. I'm really enjoying it. Most of my characters have been clerics.

I'm looking forward to playing a druid, ranger, assassin, or illusionist next.

Note that this is using the C&C rules.

If I had to pick a favorite 3e class, that would probably be the bard.

I'm the group DM. I haven't had the luxury of playing so many characters (as a PC) that I could discern a pattern. :(

I'm positive that I dislike tanks, though.

I've always enjoyed clerics, but my last character was a fighter, and I really enjoyed the change. I didn't think I would enjoy that class, but I did.

My favorites from most to least:

sorcerer
cleric
wizard
rogue
fighter
paladin
bard
ranger
druid
barbarian
monk

No love for the monk eh?

In the last SL campaign I played, I was a monk of Corean who had that Adamant style where I could use a longsword as a monk weapon. GM was really into wuxia style martial arts so I pumped up tumble, jump, and a few other skills and used them to bounce off walls and hop on the backs of giant bees and stuff. Real fun character. Used that optional snake style from Unearthed Arcana.

I don't mind playing a Monk every once in a while--I was pretty into them before and made a pretty cool Warforged Monk--but not recently.

For pbp I like straightforward classes, the fewer 1/day powers, spell preparation slots, spell slots or power points to keep track of, math changing options like power attack or expertise, and fewer pets associated with the class, the better.

So uhm, rogues, monks, fighters, racial levels, soulblades, etc. are great. Spontaneous is better than prep for spellcasters, but truly I'm happy playing most anything and have played all of the core ones.

I just made a dwarven monk 8 for a pbp game. Looking forward to jumping up and kicking in people's skulls and ribcages.

It will be my second monk for 3.5 and third for 3e.
