[D&D 3.5/Eberron] Forgotten Forge [Full]

I posted what I have of my character so far in the gallery, but it's not complete. Her stats are pretty much finished (except that I'd like to pad out her equipment some more), but with school starting I haven't been able to look over the Eberron material and come up with a backstory.

To keep from holding up the game any longer I'm asking for some help from those who know the setting. I'd like to work my own unfamiliarity with the setting into my character's background, giving her a sheltered upbringing and leaving her somewhat naive (though certainly not stupid). Any suggestions?

IdentityCrisis: I'm headed off for an interview in a short while, so I can't get too far into this idea, but I think a good starting point would be that you're a refugee from Sarlona. You were outside of Adar (the kalashtar fortress) for one reason or another when a party of human raiders from the empire of Riedra almost caught you. There was a chase, and somehow you ran into a group of adventurers from Khorvaire. They couldn't hold off the raiders and retreated to their ships, taking you with them. When they reached Sharn, you all parted ways, leaving you in a strange place with little knowledge of customs or history, past very general things (you know that dragonmarked houses control aspects of trade, you know that the continent came out of a huge war a short while ago). Anyhow, it's a thought...

Yep, sounds good.

IC, I believe you are entitled to 2 bonus languages due to your Intelligence. Oddly enough, there are only two languages in the bonus language list for Kalashtar - Riedran and Draconic.

Thanks. :) I was surprised I thought of it off the cuff, but, hey, we all have our good moments. Anyhow, I'm checking in mostly to see what our status is -- I'd like to start either tomorrow or Thursday, if possible. I could also post the first move Friday morning. Just to let you know what else is up as far as my posting habits are concerned, this weekend, I'm going to have my girlfriend in town and be at a wedding, so I'll be pretty much completely MIA until Monday night at the earliest. Anyhow, that's where I'm at right now.

Best,
Nick

Anytime this week is good for me, but I will be going backpacking this weekend and won't be back until late on Monday. :)

Ashy: Cool. :) That sounds like fun. If we don't start by Friday morning, I'll just push things along to the beginning of next week (Tuesday) so no one misses anything -- we're probably not the only ones with plans.

Best,
Nick
