For those who are wondering: Ferrix is using an alternate sorcerer class progression.

Ferrix: I have a few questions for you:
  • "+1 level adjustment reduced by paying 2000xp." What does that mean? And why is your XP total 53100?
  • Where does "Twilight" come from? On your mithral shirt?
  • Depending on your FR region, your languages might not be right...
  • Using extra rules (like the flaws section of Unearthed Arcana) isn't preapproved, and I'm going to veto that. I think it's overpowered. You'll have to rearrange your feats and change your attack bonuses. On a side note, your grapple should (now) be +4
  • Your gold on hand should be 100gp less.
  • Rods weigh 5lb.
  • Where are those rods from?
  • Your spell save should be "19+spell lvl"
  • That dragonspawn... I know what I said earlier, but damn, is that one heck of a racial template or what? I think... we may need to negotiate some more. Can you email me, say, the red-dragon one?

I think this is a pretty good example of how to make an awesome character by combining several sources.
 

The LA reduction was using the Reducing LA rules from Unearthed Arcana, don't have to use it if you don't mind. That's why his XP is 53,100 instead of 55,100 as I think you had decided earlier.

The languages are right for a Star Elf from Sildeyuir I'm pretty certain.

Dang, was really counting on those flaws. Why overpowered? *sniffle* I don't want to have a grapple of +4. I usually start with the broadest assumptions possible, and then hack down my concept when parts of it get vetoed *sigh*, oh well :]

Twilight is from Book of Exalted Deeds, it's a +1 enhancement bonus and it reduces arcane spell failure by 10%.

Like I said wasn't fully done anyways. Didn't catch that Rod's always weighed 5 lbs, where does it say that? Probably at the start of the Rod's section... *flip flip flip* yep...

Those Rods aren't from a specific source, although the metamagic feats they emulate are from the following: Fell Weaken +1 spell level (Libris Mortis) and Transdimensional +1 spell level (Complate Arcane). Any creature damaged by a Fell Weakened metamagicked spell takes a -4 penalty to strength. Transdimensional spell allows spells to affect creatures who are ethereal, incorporeal, etc. I priced them as equivalent +1 spell level metamagic rods, 3000 for lesser.

Regarding the Spell DC, it means 19 + spell level, but 19 + level is shorter, so I wrote that.
 


Good good, I approve of it all. I received the red dragonspawn, and its ability bonuses are... there are lots of them. All things considered, if it were my creation I'd probably give it a +2 LA, but like I said, I'll bow to the book. And to be honest, I'd prefer that you didn't use the UA LA rule, please. I like the ECL system how it is.
 

I know you are finishing the character creation for this game, but I was reading through the thread and wanted to express interest in your game. I know you have players set already, but if it doesn't work out, I would be happy to join. Just send me a message if you need another player.
 


Gryphon: All those sorcerer things are in the alternate sorcerer that Ferrix and I discussed through e-mail. I didn't know about the humanoid thing, though, so that might be a problem, Ferrix. And the poundage, yes, I missed those, thanks.

gabrion: Well, I've already got a list of... 5 alternates. I'll add you on. And I may be starting another game in the near future. If so, I'll save a spot for you. For a while, at least. ;)

Templates I generally consider come before feats, thus is made the most sense to me. The cold subtype I just forgot to add to the character sheet. Although with the removal of the two flaws, I dropped Otherwordly since it seemed the best one to opt out of.
