or what if the ogre is wearing a red cape on a windy day in front of the minataur, . . . do you have rage ability myth and ledgend?

Not at the start of the adventure, as i will be a Minotaur 6 and still have 2 more levels of monster progression before i can take a regular class. But Barbarian 1 and then going for Reaping Mauler is what i have planned :D

Lol.. at least the Lennie comment didn't go unnoticed.

At the risk of exposing my ignorance to the world... I never connected it until now that the Abominable Snowman (a la Bugs Bunny) is Steinbeck's Lennie. What else is hidden (or not so hidden, lol) in Warner Brothers cartoons?

Also if anyone has any feat suggestions/advice for Grellus I would be happy for the assistance. Based on the killing rage he went into in his backstory, I plan on advancing him into barbarian when we start gaining levels, so keep that in mind, too.

Power Attack might not be as advantageous as we'd assume in this instance. What is Grellus' BAB? Not including his strength bonus, that number is all you'd be able to subtract. I'd ask CM what his base would be, as well as how many feats you're actually supposed to be getting as the standard 1st, 3rd, 6th doesn't really apply for monster progression.

That said: Monkey Grip. Take the -2 to attack in order to use a weapon one size category larger. Nice when you're talking about a Huge weapon.

Large size + high Dexterity + Large and In Charge feat + Combat Reflexes feat + Exotic Weapon (spiked chain) feat = win.

Just an idea. Also, be careful about casually accepting to-hit penalities. As a minotaur your BAB and feat acquisition is directly tied to your Hit Dice, not your character level, so they'll both be lagging behind.

'Large and In Charge' is in the Draconomicon page 71 (You can prevent opponents from closing inside your reach.)

This was going to be a post negating that Large and In Charge due to the fact you want them to enter through your threatened space so that you can take the attack of opportunities, but then I read the feat description and yeah. Do it. It's niiiice.

For those who don't have the book handy, effectively when you successfully attack someone with an attack of opportunity due to passing through your threatened space it pushes them to the 5' space they were at before they provoked the attack.

Good find, Ambrus.

the sledge hammer must be for dwarves?
Naw. A chisel & mallet is probably sufficient for cracking open even tough dwarven skulls. The crowbar if for heftier beasties such as minotaurs, ogres, trolls and the like. The Sledgehammer is for somewhat larger beasties such as small dragons or giants. For colossal dragons, leviathans and astral dreadnoughts, our hungry illithid would likely require a good pickaxe, plenty of time and maybe a few ranks in profession (miner). :D
