[D&D 3.5] Paths of Legend: Paths of Madness (OOC)

Yes, bear in mind that the folks going with high LA critters are sacrificing hit dice, skill points, attack bonus, spell progressions, and quite a few other perks. Such is the cost of being a creepy creature. ;)

CrazyM, I'm interested in more info about:

Sprite: Pixie
Feytouched
Half-Fey

I have this crazy idea for a fey-themed character, either sorceror or warlock.

Similarly, if there's any changes to Tiefling, let me know...teefer monk is looking fun, though I think probably not shadowdancer...at least not right away.

Finally, I'm kicking around an idea for a Shaper psion...using Astral Constructs to show a character who can manifest "dream monsters," among other things. Anything I'd need to know to pursue this concept?

I'll choose between these three ideas as soon as I have what facts you deem necessary.

Sprites dwell in the Sylvan Court, a secluded ancient woodland on the western continent, guarded and kept secret by the wood elves. Feytouched and Half-Fey originate from that land as well.

[sblock=Psion Info]Psionic power is not inborn, it is granted by an entity known as the One Mind. The One Mind sends fragments of its consciousness into other beings and reclaims those fragments when the host dies, absorbing the memories and experiences of that creature, thus increasing its own knowledge of the world. Psionic races, such as Elan and Dromites, dwell in the Awakened Lands, the actual physical location of the One Mind, far to the Northwest.[/sblock]

Is there an online source where I can find the templates for Feytouched and Half Fey?

And are there any differences between Pixie in this game and in the core Monster Manual? The race is listed under Revised progression...

Hmmm, I almost didn't see this. I've been looking for a higher level 3.5 game and obviously you know I'm a fan of your games.

So I'm feeling a standard race, maybe a human or an elf, but an Enchanter, probably Wizard 3 - Master Specialist 3. This is very tentative obviously.

My choices in order of preference:

1. Human Monk/Assassin
2. Human Bard/Assassin
3. Human Rogue/Assassin

Sounds like there's still room if you're going for 10 players. :D

I'm thinking some sort of mage type.. Either a sorc/Wildmage, or a monk/sorc. Either would probably be human.
Any preferences while I'm working on it?

Shayuri, the Feytouched and Half-Fey progressions are in the Savage Progressions series of articles I linked to above. The main difference with the Pixe is that I don't allow the Pixe to "trade in" its one HD of Fey. So, a 6th level Pixie character would have 1 HD of Fey, 4 LA, and 1 regular level.

ethandrew, glad to have you. :D What book is Master Specialist in?

Tailspinner, those are all good possibilities. :D

Jemal, welcome aboard. :D Sorcerer is a great idea as they are hunted and put to death in Thay, so your character needn't have committed any crime other than existing. ;)

Master Specialist is in Complete Mage. It's the quintessential Prestige Class for a Specialist Wizard going straight Wizard progression.

Hmm...it seems there's plenty of people interested in monkdom, or related...and Jemal wants a sorceror...

How are warlocks viewed by Thay?

Also, how are psions viewed? :)

Looks like I'm just about ready to settle here.
