D&D Adventures on WoTC Website

Which of the free adventures on the WoTC site are worth downloading? Which should I skip?

I know this is a very open ended question, but if there are a few that just stink, I'd rather not waste the time downloading, printing, and reading them.

Well you could just download all of them and hold off on the prinitng part.

I've only used two or three, but they served me well. Written by Monte Cook if I remember correctly. That said, I downloaded and printed them because I had to DM in two days and I didn't have anything prepared. I just picked ones of the right level and wasn't really very picky.

But I'm the kind of guy who would rather be fully prepared with a halfway good adventure than be halfway prepared with a great adventure. So, take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I ran "Matters of Vengeance" and it worked out pretty well for me, I needed to come up with something fast, it was my first run as DM and this module was pretty much what I needed. It was a little heavy on the loot though. (In my opinion anyway.)

I also mixed in a few elements from annother module from the same page, Monte Cook's "Blood is thicker than...".

It was a good experience over all. If and when I DM again I'll probably give the WotC free adventures a look.

I'm using the Alchemist's Eyrie now, and Hasken's Manor, as well as Test of the Demonweb (nice side-trek). Monte's are good when you need a curveball to toss out there.

They are short and some of the 3.0 ones need updating, but read them over and see.

Thanks! Those give me a few to start with.

Yes, I could, except I sit in front of a computer all day at work, and would rather read them in a comfortable chair in the evening instead of sitting in front of another computer at home.

You know, I should have expected that from you...

Actually, I've had that one for a while. I even ran the green cover edition once, back in middle school.
